System Requirements

Explore the list of supported devices, hardware, operating systems, apps, and browsers for specific customer scenarios.

Overview

This document provides information about the basic system configuration and settings that is required to use the eCheck ByDesign on your device.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

Pentium 4, 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) or faster (recommended Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz with a 1066 megahertz (MHz) front-side bus)
At least 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM (2 gigabytes recommended)

Network Requirements

Requirements by number of users:

- Small, trial: 1 mbps
- Medium, 50 users: 2 mbps
- Large, 100 users: 4 mbps
- Extra large, 250 users: 10 mbps
- XXL, 500 users: 20 mbps minimum

Minimum requirements:

- Upstream: 1 mbps
- Downstream: 1 mbps
- Latency: 200ms or better

eCheck Support may request wired networking during an issue investigation.

Microsoft Windows Vista (32 Bit)

For Microsoft Windows operating systems we recommend Internet Explorer; for MAC OS, Safari is recommended. Key Users should have access to a Windows PC with Internet Explorer.

Operating Systems/Browsers: Limitations

Internet Explorer 8:

- Adobe Reader: Preview opens in separate window.

MAC:

- MS Office Integration is not supported.
- MS Excel-based Reporting is not supported.
- Collaboration Scenarios based on Collaboration Window, including Telephony is not supported.
- Install Additional Software (Excel-Add-in, Crystal-Add-in) is not supported.
- Adobe LiveCycle Designer is not supported.

Additional Software

In order to run Business ByDesign Web Application the following Software is required:

- Microsoft Silverlight (minimum version 5.1)
- Adobe Reader 8.1.3 or higher
